1. Prague's most iconic bridge: Charles Bridge
Charles Bridge is one of Prague's most iconic landmarks. 2. Historic Wenceslas Square: a photographic journey (Václavské náměstí)
Just a short walk from the Old Town is Wenceslas Square, the city's main shopping centre and the site of major public demonstrations, parades and celebrations. It was here that Jan Palach set himself on fire to protest against communist oppression in 1968, and where locals jingled their keys in the air to celebrate Czech independence during the Velvet Revolution of 1989. 5. Passage Lucerna
The Passage Lucerna is where tourists flock to see one of David Černý's most controversial sculptures - of a saint riding an upside-down horse - but there is much more to discover. 8. Kasárna Karlín
The eccentric minds behind the multi-purpose arts complex have taken one look at these former military barracks and imagined an eclectic cultural landscape combining art, theatre, cinema, sport, food and drink. Years later, all this became a reality. In summer, you can enjoy an open-air cinema and beach volleyball court in the courtyard, and in winter, hot drinks and a speed skating rink. The surrounding buildings of Kasarna Karlín include a café and garages in a former swimming pool, which now house bars and concert halls, and walls are decorated with local art.

9. Vrtba Garden
In the Malá Strana area, most tourists head for the Wallenstein Garden, known for its drop wall, owls, bronze statues and free-roaming peacocks. The nearby Vrtba Garden is less well known, but equally beautiful and beautifully maintained. 11. Franz Kafka statue - Rotating head
One of Prague's most prominent attractions - when you ask yourself what to see in Prague - is the Franz Kafka statue, which is more of a technical marvel. The work is part of the Quadrio shopping and office complex on the Národní tříd (National Bridge) and is the work of controversial artist David Černý, who has used this artistic style several times in his career.
